Bannon in Hatrick Heaven”

The Dragons travelled to close rivals NIHL Telford Tigers Saturday in a must win game for both teams. With The Tigers rooted to the bottom of the table it would of been a great opportunity to claw some points back on the Dragons who sit a couple of places above them. Scott McKenzies team travelled with a great depth of experience minds and youthful legs as they raced into a 3-0 lead in the first. 2 Stunning strikes from Jordan Bannon either side of a Filip Supa Goal showed the Dragons meant business in the 1st period. With 14 seconds on the clock the puck squeezed in the inside pipe of the Dragons goal to give them a much need foot in the game.

2nd Period the Tigers with no doubt their coaches wake up call clearly sounding in their ears pulled another goal. Back to make it 3-2 with 9.15 on the clock. The Tigers had stopped taking penalties and put the Dragons under immense pressure and with 16.00 mins on the clock the come back was complete 3-3. As the Tigers looked more likely to go and win the game. A superb solo effort from Filip Supa put the Dragons into a unlikely lead. Not long after Jordan Bannon let off a rocket to complete his hat-trick which later give him the well deserved MVP for the Dragons. End of the 2nd Dragons lead 5-3.

Credit to the Tigers 2.25 on the clock in the 3rd and they had rattled the Dragons metal work twice, and not long after a 5v3 powerplay goal brought the game back to 5-4. Young gun Ryan Kemp soon after steers the puck into the net to grab the Dragons 6th of the night, with Captain James Parsons dropping gloves to stick up for his team mates in the aftermath of the Goal. Tigers applied more pressure towards the end of the 3rd but Dragons Net Minder was seeing everything and kept them out from further goals.

Game was ended with Coach Mckenzies superb solo effort wrapping the game up with 10.14 left on the clock. 7-4 it finished and a massive two points to the Dragons

Denis Bell had a superb game between the pipes facing 48 shots from Telford and restricting the home side to just four goals
