Psycho is back!

Submitted by on 03/08/2017 – 5:58 pm

The Dragons Ice Hockey club are delighted to announce the return of Josh Psycho’ Richardson. Josh came to The Dragons part way through last season in a two way deal with Bradford Bulldogs but became an ever present figure in The Dragons line up especially in latter part of the season. A sensible defencemen that plays a simple but effective style, will maintain his two way relationship between The Dragons and Bulldogs which allows him to play for his local team as well as gaining valuable NIHL1 ice time. Dragons Player/Coach Scott McKenzie is delighted to have been able to strike the same deal as last season with Josh; ” For me it was really important to bring Josh back in as a two way player. He is a smart D-man that knows his limits. He doesn’t play above his station, wants to learn and fits in with exactly what we want on Deeside.” Mckenzie continued; “I must say thank you to Andy Brown from Bradford who I have a great working relationship with. Both Andy and I want what is best for Josh with regards to his development so working together makes life a lot easier on both parts. It’s great to have Josh back, a great guy that slots into our dressing room perfectly.”

Josh had this to say earlier about his return to the Dragons

“I’m very excited to be a part of the Dragons team for another season. It was great to see the team grow over the last season, and with the same core group of lads, we’ll be able improve and challenge every team in the league. With the new league setup it means that every team needs to be at their best every week, and with this group of players, we’ve given ourselves the best chance to have a great season.”

Richardson will wear the #19 jersey for the 17/18 season. If you would like to own and loan please email  info@dragonsicehockey.co.uk
