Dragons Prepare To Battle

Submitted by on March 20, 2017 – 2:03 pm

The Dragons return to home action for the final time in the 2016/17 season as they play host to Moralee Conference winners Solway Sharks.

After a weekend with no game, The Dragons need to gain a minimum of three points from the four available to them. Coach Mckenzie is confident that his team has what it takes to survive relegation;

“Following the results of last weekend, it is clear to us what we need to do and I really like that. It has always been in our hands, we aren’t relying on anyone else to lose or drop points. It has been a somewhat turbulent season but we have given ourselves a chance and I am extremely proud of my players and the clubs management team for that. Sundays game will be tough. We know that. But we are prepared to battle and fight for our lives. We deserve to stay in this league and we will show that on Sunday.”

Following the game on Sunday The Dragons players will remain on the ice as we invite fans onto the ice to have pictures and get autographs from their favourite players.

The Dragons Head Coach Scott McKenzie will also be shaving his beloved beard off after the game on Sunday to help raise money for the funeral of Michelle Thompson. If you would like to donate please follow the link below;

Doors open at 5pm on Sunday evening with face off at 545pm. Tickets are priced at £7 for adults and £3 for children. For any further information contact us at Scott.mckenzie@dragonsicehockey.co.uk
