Dragons Look To Bounce Back

Submitted by on 15/02/2017 – 10:29 am

The Dragons return to home action at The Den this Sunday evening at 5:45pm as they face the Sutton Sting in a chance to redeem themselves after last Sundays disappointing 5-3 home loss to Telford Tigers. After dominating most of the play and out shooting their opponents 50 shots to 31, the Dragons just couldn’t find a way through the Tigers stubborn netminder. With only 5 points separating 3rd place to 8th place in the NIHL1 Moralee Conference, every game that is played becomes ever more important. Coach Mckenzie refuses to panic and believes his team will bounce back this weekend; “Again I really wasn’t disappointed with the performance of the players last week. I felt like we did enough to win but came up against a good goalie on the night. That happens in hockey. But we will have 2 good practices this week and look to get the jump on Sutton this weekend. We hope to welcome back Ross Kennedy into the line up, I am also hopeful that Alex Parry isn’t far away from his return too. It would be great to see another bumper crowd down at the Den this Sunday to support the guys.” Doors open on Sunday at 5pm, tickets are priced at ¬£7 for adults and ¬£3 for children
