Submitted by on 10/01/2016 – 3:57 pm

The Dragons went ten points clear at the top of the Laidler conference on Saturday night when the beat local rivals Blackburn Eagles 10-3 in a penalty laden match
The first period was nip nad tuck with shot being fired at both ends but it was the Dragons that went in ahead 2-1 with two goals from Filip Supa while the Eagles goal was scored by Aaron Jordan.
The second period was much the same with Deeside doubling thier lead with two gaols from prolific front man Adrain Palak before Blackburn stopped the rot and got a goal back scored by Jordan Ashington but it was only minutes later when the Dragons Paul Davies restored the lead back to three goals with a shot to the top corner of the net. Adrian Palak increased the advantge to four goals with a superb break away goal.
as the second period came to a close Blacburns Steven Hertherington slipped past the defence and scored a low shot past the stranded Cox to make the score 6-3 going into the last Period.
The third period was all Deeside with four unanswered goals from Supa, Parry, Parsons and Roberts the game was turned on its head and well out of reach for Blackburn and tempers got a bit frayed and both teams amassed major penalty minutes which was very enjoyable to the crowd but did nothing for the game.

The final scored was 10-3 to Deeside

MVP fpr Dragons was George Cox and Phil Crosby for Blackburn
