On Saturday morning, first game of the weekend, Widnes Wild were the first team to make it to the Sunday final by taking out the Nottingham Lions with a score of 3 goals to 1. Before publishing any official statement the Deeside Dragons wanted to give the LMC (League Management Committee) the opportunity to review any information it required and make its decision and impose any sanctions it felt necessary in regards to last weekends game against the Widnes Wild.

Deeside Dragons finished the regular season on a high on Saturday night beating local rivals Widnes Wild 3-1 in a game that was cut short early into the second period when Wild captain Scott Mckenzie took his team of the ice citing safety reasons.
